Article : towards complete Justice at last

Context: Babri Masjid demolition case

Notes: Justice shall not only be done, it also shall appear to be done. Delay in Justice delivery makes the people to loose confidence on Justice delivery system. Art 142 of the constitution has given extraordinary powers to the Supreme Court in delivering justice. According to this, Supreme Court can pass such decree or make such order as is necessary for doing complete justice in any case or matters pending before it. It is based on a Latin Maxim – fiat justitiaruatcaelum – let justice be done though the heavens fall.

Babri Masjid demolition case got delayed due to simple procedural issues, political exigencies. Justice shall not become a victim for the same.

To remember: fiat justitiaruatcaelum – let justice be done though the heavens fall.

Carry home points: Justice is the final measure of power.

Article : Racism and the reality in Japan

Context: Racial practices and cultural aspects of Japan

Notes: Japan as a nation is not very inviting to outsiders. Reasons lie beyond linguistic differences. At its core lies a subconscious racism rooted in false narrative of Japanese Uniqueness and racial purity. This is remarkable against Koreans and Chinese. False propaganda and rumors also add to the fuel.

Today, it I hurting economy of Japan like never before. Ageist population, deflating economy need support of Human Resources. Cultural change is necessary.

To remember:  In any society, sense of exceptionalism and Puritanism brings an element of superiority.

Carry home points: Japan economy needs urgent attention. Changing demographics are worst affecting the  economy.

Article : Tale of two sections

Context: section 295A of IPC and section 153A of the IPC

Notes: section 295A and 153A are been misused to harass celebrities and to suppress freedom of speech and expression. Section 295A of the Indian penal code states that any deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings as a punishable offense. Section 153A is intended to punish those who promote enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence and language and doing acts prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony.

These two sections of IPC are creating a market place of outrage – an economy that feeds on anger and hostility.

To remember: section 295A and 153A

Carry home points: section 295A and 153A scope need to be narrowed down to decrease its misuse.

Article : At war with itself

Context: Attack on a military base in Afghanistan

Notes: Taliban is still strong in Afghanistan. The major reasons for its continuous presence of violence in  Afghanistan are
