How to select Best UPSC Optional Subject

Choosing a right optional subject may be a crucial step in your preparation for the UPSC civil services exam. A wrong decision not only costs you a rank but also leaves in you a way of regret for the rest of your life.

In the new pattern for Mains, you’ll opt for just one optional subject (in previous pattern it was 2) which is able to have two papers of 250 Marks each. So, one optional subject carries five hundred Marks in Mains.
