As the PM-KUSUM scheme approaches its target year 2026, experts call for recalibration to address challenges and maximize its impact on renewable energy adoption and farmers’ energy security.

Objectives:
- Promote renewable energy in agriculture.
- Reduce diesel dependency and grid load.
- Enhance farmers’ income through sale of surplus solar power.
- Support India’s climate and renewable energy targets (500 GW by 2030).
Components:
