Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ASEAN summit and East Asia Summit in Kuala Lumpur (Oct 26–28), where he may engage with leaders from the Quad and BRICS, ahead of India hosting both summits next year.

- 2026: Philippines to chair (instead of Myanmar, due to junta rule).
