The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked Stage II of GRAP across Delhi-NCR as the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 300 (“very poor”), triggering predefined pollution control measures.

- What: Statutory framework specifying stage-wise measures to tackle air pollution in Delhi-NCR.
- Established: 2017 under Supreme Court directives & Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
- Revised: December 2024 by CAQM to include predictive action using IMD/IITM forecasts.
- Aim: Create a graded, preemptive response system to manage air quality deterioration.
GRAP Stages & Criteria:
