- India has committed over USD 3 billion since 2001 for reconstruction and development.
- Major completed projects include:
- Delaram–Zaranj Highway (links to Iran; part of regional connectivity plan).
- Afghan Parliament Building (symbol of democracy; inaugurated in 2015).
- India–Afghanistan Friendship Dam (Salma Dam) on the Hari River, Herat.
- Electricity transmission lines supplying power to Kabul.
- Line of Credit: India offers a USD 50 million LoC for SME-level business cooperation.
Chabahar Port (Iran):
- India’s gateway to landlocked Afghanistan and Central Asia.
- Bypasses Pakistan and supports humanitarian shipments.
