Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a 3-nation tour to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman (December 2025) as part of India’s Global South outreach and to deepen political, economic and strategic engagement with West Asia and Africa.

- First full-fledged bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Jordan.
- Coincides with 75 years of India–Jordan diplomatic relations.
2. Ethiopia Visit:
- First-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ethiopia.
- Ethiopia is a key African partner and host country of the African Union (AU).
3. Oman Visit:
- Visit undertaken at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
- Marks 70 years of India–Oman diplomatic relations.
- Expected finalisation of India–Oman CEPA. (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement)
