RFCTLARR Act, 2013 or LARR Act:
- Land Acquisition Law: Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (RFCTLARR Act).
- Mandates fair compensation, mandatory Social Impact Assessment (SIA), and consent requirements for land acquisition for public purposes.
- Provides Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) entitlements to affected families, not just landowners.
- Ensures transparency, safeguards, and higher compensation (up to 4× in rural areas, 2× in urban areas) compared to the 1894 law.
