Some journeys begin with confidence.
Others begin with quiet hope.
Ramyasri’s story belongs to the second kind — a journey that started in a small village, shaped by simple parents, and slowly grew through effort, patience, and belief.

A Childhood Rooted in Hard Work
Ramyasri grew up in Pedatadepalli village of West Godavari district, in a home where life was modest but values were strong.
Her father, J. Kutumbarao, worked as a school bus driver. Every morning, he left early and returned tired, but never complained. He believed that education could give his daughter the life he never had.
Her mother, J. Suneetha, managed the household and stood quietly behind every dream Ramyasri shared.
Money was limited, but encouragement was unlimited.
A Student Who Took Her Studies Seriously
From the beginning, Ramyasri was known as a sincere student.
She studied at Sri Rama Vidyaniketan, where she completed her 10th class in 2015 with 95%. Teachers remember her as focused and disciplined.
Later, she joined University College of Engineering, Kakinada (JNTU) to study Civil Engineering. Balancing tough subjects and personal responsibilities wasn’t easy, but she stayed consistent and graduated in 2021 with 89.7%.
For her family, this was a proud moment.
Learning Beyond Books
Ramyasri never limited herself only to marks.
She enjoyed participating in seminars and competitions. Winning a first prize at JNTUK for a seminar on earthquake-resistant structures boosted her confidence.
She also loved sports and reached state level in Kho-Kho, learning teamwork and discipline.
In college, she took responsibility as class representative, and during earlier studies served as mess representative.
Perhaps the most touching part of her student life was when she taught children from poor families for free, helping them not fall behind in education.
Even then, she believed in giving back.
The Dream of Civil Services
Coming from a humble family, Ramyasri wanted a career that offered both respect and service.
Civil services attracted her not for power, but for purpose.
She wanted to support her parents, serve society, and prove that background does not decide destiny.
Joining La Excellence IAS – Where It All Started
In 2022, Ramyasri joined La Excellence IAS Academy as a classroom student.
She attended PCM coaching, worked with the R&D team, and slowly built strong fundamentals. The environment helped her understand how to study smartly, not just study hard.
She regularly practiced through:
• APPSC Group Stress Series
• Group-I Test Series
• Answer writing sessions
This was the phase where her preparation truly became serious and structured.
When Results Didn’t Come — But Courage Did
Her first UPSC attempt in 2022 didn’t clear prelims.
In 2023, she reached UPSC mains but couldn’t go further.
The same year, she wrote APPSC Group-I mains but missed the final result.
There were days of disappointment.
There were tears.
There were doubts.
But there was never quitting.
She kept telling herself:
“If I am improving every time, success will come someday.”
The Core Batch — Where Everything Changed
After experiencing real exam pressure, Ramyasri joined the La Excellence IAS Core Batch Programme.
This phase made a huge difference.
She studied with serious aspirants who discussed answers, shared mistakes, motivated each other, and stayed disciplined together.
The peer group helped her:
• stay consistent
• correct mistakes faster
• gain confidence
• prepare with clarity
Slowly, her writing improved. Her thinking matured.
The Final Preparation — Interview Guidance & Hackathon
When she reached the interview stage, Ramyasri joined La Excellence IAS Interview Guidance Programme.
Dr. Rambabu sir personally guided her in filling her DAF, helping her present her life story, education, and experiences effectively.
She also attended Hackathon sessions where retired IAS and IPS officers shared real experiences from administration and interview boards.
Listening to them helped her understand:
how officers think,
what interviewers expect,
how to answer calmly and clearly.
She later said that many of those insights came directly into her real interview answers.
The Day Her Hard Work Paid Off
In APPSC Group-I 2026, after years of effort, Ramyasri finally cleared the examination and secured the post of Assistant Commercial Tax Officer (ACTO).
For her parents, it was a dream come true.
For Ramyasri, it was proof that patience works.
Her Simple Message
“Failures hurt, but they teach you how to become better.
If you stay consistent, success will come.”
Final Thoughts
Ramyasri’s journey reminds us:
Big dreams can grow in small villages.
Ordinary families can raise extraordinary officers.
Slow progress is still progress.
From a bus driver’s home to a government officer’s chair —
this success was not sudden.
It was built day by day.
