India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval participated in the 7th NSA-level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) in New Delhi with NSAs from Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Seychelles, and Malaysia. Seychelles has been welcomed as a full member of the CSC.

About the Colombo Security Conclave:
- A regional security grouping focused on cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
- Originally started as India–Sri Lanka–Maldives trilateral maritime security cooperation (2011).
Member States: India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Seychelles (new full member)
Observer / Guest participation: Malaysia (invited as a guest)
Five Pillars of Cooperation (CSC Framework)
The CSC works under five identified pillars:
- Maritime Safety and Security
- Countering Terrorism and Radicalisation
- Combating Trafficking and Transnational Organised Crime
- Cyber Security and Protection of Critical Infrastructure and Technology
- Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) including training & capacity building.
