Hyderabad Liberation Day

Why in News?

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, at Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations in Secunderabad, contrasted Operation Sindoor—India’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack—with Telangana’s 1948 liberation struggle, stressing that Indian forces act against terrorism, not religion, and lauding Sardar Patel’s role in Hyderabad’s integration with the Union.
