Why in News?
The Indian Navy will commission two Project 17A stealth frigates, INS Udaygiri and INS Himgiri, at Visakhapatnam, marking the first-ever simultaneous induction of frontline warships with advanced weaponry, sensors, and 75% indigenous content, showcasing India’s shipbuilding expertise and naval strength.
