- Origin: Ananthagiri Hills, located on the eastern edge of the Deccan Plateau.
- Course: Flows eastward through Hyderabad.
- Tributary: The Musi meets the Krishna River at Wadapally
- Reservoirs: Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar built for flood control and drinking water supply.
