According to the International Gas Union (IGU) World LNG Report 2025, India added 52.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG regasification capacity across eight terminals, surpassing Spain to become the world’s fourth-largest regasification market. The expansion supports India’s strategy to increase the share of natural gas in its energy mix.
