UAE is set to establish an “India House” in Abu Dhabi as a cultural landmark, and is planning to declare Yoga as a competitive sport — discussed during the 2nd Joint Steering Committee Meeting of the India–UAE Cultural Council (Oct 8–9, 2025).

About the Cultural Council:
- India–UAE Cultural Council established via MoU in 2022.
- 1st meeting: March 2025 (New Delhi)
- 2nd meeting: Oct 2025 (Abu Dhabi)
UAE & Yoga Sports Status:
- UAE moving to officially recognize Yoga as a competitive sport.
- National framework being developed by UAE Yoga Committee under Ministry of Sports.
- UAE will become 1st Gulf nation to give Yoga full sporting status.
